Clear and bright appearance. A lovely garnet colour with a violet rim.
NOSE
A complex and very elegant wine on the nose. Aromas of fresh fruit, light balsamic notes, roasted notes of coffee and subtle smokey notes.
MOUTH
Full-bodied, fresh and elegant on the palate. Well-rounded and pliable tannins reminiscent of black fruit and well integrated with the smokey and spicy notes of wood..

VINEYARD AND PRODUCTION
DESCRIPTION
Within the municipal boundaries of Pesquera de Duero, facing south at an altitude of more than 800 metres. (see vineyard).

Poor soils with many pebbles and a clay base.
WEATHER
Mild and rainy winter with rainfall until summer.
HARVESTING
The harvest was healthy and of an exceptional quality.
PRODUCTION
The production process is traditional, with de-stemming and subsequent fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless-steel tanks.
AGEING
At least 14 months in 225-litre American oak barrels and rested in the bottle prior to release.

In a tribute to Pesquera de Duero, the hometown of Alejandro Fernández and Esperanza Rivera, founders of Familia Fernández Rivera, and with origins at a stone winepress from the 16th century, Tinto Pesquera started to produce its first wines in 1975 in order to showcase the value of the terroir of the Ribera del Duero through pioneering production processes of tempranillo grapes. Thanks to its tireless work, Tinto Pesquera was one of the wineries behind the rise and renown of Ribera del Duero and one of the driving forces behind its Designation of Origin.
Faithful to the essence of the brand, at present Tinto Pesquera continues to champion the production of excellent red wines, capable of representing the particular characteristics of each year and each plot, committing to new technologies and always looking to the future, while preserving its original essence and the commitment to craftsmanship.
